 | How its made These are made by first getting clear glass from the furnace. It is in a finger shape and is rolled over the blue and green colors and the gold dust and returned to the furnace to fuse this colored powder to the first layer. Next it is dipped back into the pot of smoldering glass for an outside coat of crystal clear glass. Now the maestro must quickly work with the ancient tools, pulling out the legs, shaping the hoofs, snipping the mane and creating the face. Probably he will need to reheat the piece to keep it soft for working. An assistant helps him remove it from the puntie and the tail is put on hiding completely the puntie mark. Final sprinkle of 18kt gold on the mane and tail and he's off to the annealer.
