Millefiori Pendants have been a tradition of Venetian Glass Jewellery for decades. Millefiori means thousand flowers in Italian and became named as a result of the small canes which create each piece. The canes are made in Murano in the same traditions of Murano glass for centuries. The Millefiori pendants are created by fusing small slices of the Effetre Moretti glass canes together creating the patterns. These Murano jewelry pieces appear as small stain glass windows and are set in beautiful mountings. A Venetian jewelry tradition which was reintroduced in the 20th century by local craftspeople.
