Here we see a glass blowing factory with the furnaces in the background where the blower pick up the "metal" (molten glass) which you can see is glowing red even as they begin working.

Next you see the glass blower working at his station with the same ancient tools to shape the object. And finally you see an aquarium complete with fish. Now for the final process which is to anneal the glass slowly so that it does not crack. The annealing temperature of the Murano glass is around 900 degrees F.

A master glass blower has gone through an apprenticeship of some 10+ years before formally recognized in the trade. This profession dates back in Venice to around 600AD.
